The Council of Deliberation of Texas is part of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry for the Southern Jurisdiction U.S.A., (Prince Hall Affiliation).
The Scottish Rite is one of the two branches of Freemasonry in which a Master Mason may proceed after he has completed the three degrees of Symbolic or Blue Lodge Masonry. Sometimes referred to as the university of masonry, the Rite builds upon the ethical teachings and philosophy offered in the Craft (or Blue) Lodge, through dramatic presentation of the individual degrees. Our degrees are in addition to and are in no way “higher” than Blue Lodge degrees.
